2022 Scholarship Opportunities Available

Keauhou Canoe Club is pleased to announce two (2) $2000 scholarships available to graduating high school seniors in West Hawaii. Students must be pursuing continuing education at a trade school, community college, university or college level program.


The James F. Rogers Academic Scholarship is awarded to an outrigger canoe paddler (at the club or middle school/high school sport level in the past 5 years) who has shown excellence in academics, extra-curricular activities, and community service.


The Mike Haines Merit Achievement Scholarship is awarded to a paddler (at the club or middle school /high school sport level in the past 5 years) who has not only demonstrated excellent scholarship but who has also been a major contributor in extra-curricular activities at school, church, work and community service.


We are recognizing leadership skills, initiative, responsibility, integrity, a diligent work ethic, and dedication to successful activities. Applications (available on our website - see SCHOLARSHIPS) and must also include your transcript and SAT and ACT scores, a letter of recommendation from a school staff member and your paddling coach.
