The Keauhou Canoe Club Nominating Committee is proud to present the following slate of candidates for the 2022 KCC Board of Directors . We mahalo the departing 2021 Directors at large for their impact, tenure, and contributions. Noe Campbell, David Case, and Kalei Pasciuta have each helped lift our Club to a higher level with their knowledge and commitment. Incumbent 2022 Candidates President: Terry Trinidad Vice President: Peter Lasich Treasurer: Vern Bieraugel Secretary: Jody Wheeler **The Athletic Director and Membership Secretary are elected by the 2022 Board of Directors. Directors At Large: (up to 7 possible) Jane Bockus Ramona Crivello Dick Roberts Dave Yamagata New Candidates: Jessie Chambers, Candidate for an upcoming KCC At-Large Board seat, and retired archaeologist. I am a Tues/Thurs/Sat recreational paddler, the Thursday beach coordinator, and have recently finished my first OC1 race. A full time resident of Keauhou, I volunteer for marine mammal conservation, and I am willing to offer extra time to KCC. I am organized, detail-oriented, and seek clarity in communication. Along with those of our revered long-time members of the Keauhou Canoe Club 'Ohana, including the voices of the many newer members in our organization will encourage us all to become stakeholders in safeguarding what is valued in our outrigger community. It would be an honor to serve on the board and represent those voices. Baili Cosdon: Aloha: my name is Baili Cosdon ….. I moved here 8 years ago with no water knowledge whatsoever…. i could not even swim…. but a Keahou paddler brought me to a recreational paddle … after that i was hooked …. i became a member …. became life guard/aed certified ….this club has brought so much support and purpose to my little family … i would love to become a member of the board to give back to this amazing club and Kona David Romer: Member of Keauhou Canoe Club for 4 years. Air Force Veteran, Retired Silicon Valley Electronics Executive, Full time resident in Kona, Former VP Santa Cruz County Veterans Memorial Building, Former coordinator for several homeless veterans self help programs in Santa Cruz. I am running as a way to express my gratitude for the gifts of Hawaiian knowledge and paddling that my wife and I have experienced as members of KCC. Although my services are open to whatever support is needed, my prime interests will be safety, training and compliance to club rules and regulations. I hope I will be considered for this position. Early Bird special new members cannot vote in this 2021 election but can attend the meeting.
Voters must be present to vote. No proxy voting.
If group size restrictions do not support a single session meeting, registration sign-ups (9,:00 11:00, 1:00) will be announced.
No food will be served. Bring folding chairs.
